How Carrier accounts Work

Carrier accounts are used to connect your Shiptoall setup with external shipping carriers like UPS, FedEx, USPS, and others. This connection allows you to retrieve real-time shipping rates and services directly from the carriers. To use this feature, you must have an active business account with the carrier and obtain credentials for discounted or negotiated rates. Below are the steps to retrieve credentials from popular carriers.‘

Canada Post

Create a Canada Post account

  • Visit the Canada Post Developer Program page.
  • Sign up and create a Business profile.
  • After the account is created, grab the production API keys and account number from the dashboard

Add Canada Post account in Shiptoall

  • Go to Shiptoall -> General Settings -> Carrier Accounts.
  • Click the Add Carrier Account button.
  • Select Canada Post from the carrier list.
  • Enter a name for your carrier account (for example, “Canada Post Account”).
  • Enter the API Key and Account Number obtained from Canada Post.

Account connected

Now your Canada Post account is connected! Shiptoall can use it to provide real-time shipping rates and services in your canada post service methods.

UPS

Create a UPS account

If issue setting up an account, please contact UPS support.
View and read the UPS Agreement when creating account
  • Visit the UPS website.
  • Sign up and create a Business profile.
  • After the account is created, open new tab and follow next step.

Go to UPS Developer Portal

  • Visit the UPS Developer Portal.
  • Go to My Apps and add a new app.
  • Accept the terms, complete the account form, and finish creating your app.
  • For the app, generate it specifically for Shiptoall and obtain the Production API Key and Account Number from the dashboard.
  • Enter the API Key and Account Number into Shiptoall to connect your UPS account.

Account connected

Now your UPS account is connected! Shiptoall can use it to provide real-time shipping rates and services in your ups service methods.

FedEx

Create a FedEx account

If issue setting up an account, please contact FedEx support.
  • Visit the FedEx website.
  • Sign up and create a Business profile.
  • Enter required information and billing details to complete account setup
  • After the account is created, open new tab and follow next step.

Go to FedEx Developer Portal

  • Visit the FedEx Developer Portal.
  • Log in or Sign Up for a developer account.
  • Enter required information to complete developer profile.
  • Create organization for an app and choose Ships with FedEx and needs to integrate FedEx APIs into their system
  • Create API Project and choose Ships with FedEx and is using a third-party software solution that has requested API keys
  • Enter third-party details as Shiptoall
  • Select Ship, Rate & other APIs. , Address Validation API and Rates and Transit Times API.
  • Choose FedEx Freight LTL API if you plan to use FedEx Freight services.
  • Enter rest of required information to complete app creation
  • After the app is created, go to Production key tab
  • Select or add the fedex account we created earlier as shipping account and click next.
  • Obtain the Production API Keys and Account Number.
  • Enter the API Key and Account Number into Shiptoall to connect your FedEx account.

Now your FedEx account is connected! Shiptoall can use it to provide real-time shipping rates and services in your fedex service methods.

Purolator

Create a Purolator account

  • Visit the Purolator Website.
  • Sign up and create a Business profile.
  • After the account is created, grab the account number

Go to Purolator Developer Portal

  • Visit the Purolator Developer Portal.
  • Log in or Sign Up in developer portal.
  • Go to API Portal and click on Move to Production tab
  • Choose Platform as integration type and generate production keys.
  • Follow the steps to complete the request for production key activation.
  • Once finished, enter the API Key and Account Number into Shiptoall to connect your Purolator account.

Now your Purolator account is connected! Shiptoall can use it to provide real-time shipping rates and services in your purolator service methods.
